Since 1957, Washtronics has led the industry with the development of advanced fleet vehicle wash system technologies, including most recently the M-Series Profiling and DT-Series Drive Through Frictionless Wash Systems. This exclusive technology presents several advantages over less advanced equipment; brush machines are limited to a number of pre-programmed vehicle shapes, and are widely reputed to inflict damage by scratching surfaces or by entangling with protrusions. Other brushless systems tend to be underdeveloped and are generally limited to removing only surface dirt, leaving films and oxides on the paint. With the Washtronics M-Series system, excellent results are achieved without scratching painted surfaces and while avoiding contact with mirrors, exhaust stacks and other protrusions.
Most, if not all, Drive Through brushless systems miss front and rear surfaces entirely, and are rather ineffective on distant, horizontal exposures such as hood and roof areas. Washtronics DT Frictionless Drive-Through Wash System addresses this issue by incorporating transverse boom technology from the M-Series design, and is the only system in the industry capable of properly addressing front and rear surfaces. Once the control system has confirmed that the vehicle is safely in position at the wash arch, the transverse boom assembly descends along the front and rear of the vehicle while firing multiple jets of high impact spray directly at the surface. The system is highly adaptive, available in either Frictionless or Rotating Brush configurations to accommodate a variety of applications, and is particularly well suited to high volume fleet applications that require express wash capability. All Washtronics systems use high power infrared sensors to detect the ingress, profile and egress of the vehicle. Furthermore, various fail-safe provisions have been incorporated into the system to provide for device failure and/or operator error. These include algorithmic solutions within the operating software as well as electro-mechanical devices that sense an impending collision and terminate operations. Program updates can be transmitted directly to your location through modem connections, and all Washtronics systems are compatible with a variety of Point-of-Sale and/or reporting software packages designed to assist in the management and administration of your wash operation. Washtronics has the advanced engineering capability necessary to design and develop equipment to suit your application. Over the past 40 years, we have completed a variety of projects throughout North and South America for applications ranging from mining to most every fleet operation though to light rapid transit. We would be pleased to assist in the development of your specifications.
